Day 172 {father's day}

Today was a good day. The weather was beautiful and we were outside for most of the day. First we were off to my mom and dad's house to celebrate Father's Day with them. They had the kiddie pool set-up in the backyard for the kids to play in. The boys were rocking some bathing suits (which had to be folded over because they are still too big).

They even played nicely for a while and didn't hit each other too much (that's Owen on the left and Ethan on the right).

Ava got cold and played for a while in a blanket.

Owen ran all over the place. His shorts kept falling down and with his tiny little feet hidden in the grass they actually look like pants.

Owen again:

We took some pictures to mark the day. Here are my sister and I with my dad. :)

Then we were off to the McDougall family barbecue which is always a good time. The weather continued to be beautiful and I got to play with some of Jason Roberts' lenses. Thanks for reminding me how much fun it is to do cool stuff in the camera Jason! It's much more fun than doing it in Photoshop afterward. This was with his Cokin filter.

And a shot with his macro lens:

Here's Jason playing paparazzi with his camera:

After we ate I just followed the kids around. Owen playing badminton:

Ethan playing with Tia.

Ava pushing her brothers around on the tractor after the battery died.

Ethan fell last week and bruised his forehead. This bruise is causing some real confusion in this house. It's so odd to see a mark between his eyes and it keeps confusing us because at a quick glance we keep thinking it's Owen who has a birthmark in that same spot. We keep calling him Owen.

Jason was nice enough to take some pictures with my camera. I love these pictures. They are fantastic and he managed to capture our personalities perfectly. Here are Ava and I playing on the grass:

And a rare family shot. I love these Jason - thank you so much! They are beautiful.

And that was it. It was a great day. Thanks for looking!
