Day 311 {farmers' market}

Today was a great day. The kids and I went to the farmers' market with my mom, dad, sister, aunt and cousin. We had a great time. Lots of stuff to see and people watching to do. In fact Erica and I figured we could easily start a People of the Farmers' Market web site. ;)

The farmers' market is an interesting spot and has changed a lot over the years. Back then it was more produce and baked goods and there were a lot more mennonite vendors. Anyway, now you can still get all of that stuff and more, including

pimp hats

Shakira skirts

or how about a genuine "Ghanel" shirt.

Oh my god, who buys this crap. Anyway, the joke was on us. Erica ended up liking the pimp hat and inquired about one in black.

This was interesting. This guy kept calling out to smokers and asking them how their cigarette tasted and claiming he could get them to quit smoking. I'm no expert sir, but getting them hooked on weed is probably not the best solution you could have come up with. ;) Anyway, check out the Chinese viagra sign.

Here are some more random shots from the farmers' market:

After that, we went to the cemetery on what would have been my grandmother's 80th birthday.

I thought this picture was kind of cool because you can see everybody's reflection:

Then at night we did an old family favourite - watching slides.

It was interesting because we haven't done that since before the boys were born. I was surprised to realize that there is a lot more of me in the boys than I thought.

Tell me this doesn't look like Ava. Look really hard because I think my jumper was made from excess couch fabric so I blend right in:

This look is typical Owen:

And this picture screamed Ethan to me:

Anyway, it was a very good day. Thanks everyone! Happy birthday Nana baby. xo

When I look to the sky something tells me you're here with me
And you make everything alright
And when I feel like I'm lost something tells me you're here with me
And I can always find my way when you are here

Now that you posted some picture of when you were little, I can totally see the resemblance of the kids in you.
