Day 26 {my girls}

Seven years ago we brought Scarlett home from the breeder and it was the last time I got to eat the crust on my toast. Four years later I would end up kissing the crust plus several bites goodbye once Ava started eating solid food. Now seven years later, the girls are the easier part of the equation. They are my two babies who have gone from being the centre of attention to having to share the spotlight with two very demanding little boys.

This morning while I was getting ready for work, I peeked out into the hall and found my girls in the hallway. Scarlett was lying in the doorway to Ava's room and Ava was sitting there shaking her paw and petting her very quietly. The boys were still in bed and the whole house was quiet.

Ten minutes later the babysitter would pull into the driveway, Scarlett would go bananas and the day would take off full blast from there.

Thanks for looking!
