day 106 - here turkey turkey

When my sister and I were little, we went a lot of places with my parents. We went on a lot of picnics and we got to go to McDonalds for a treat every once in a while. We went to various parks and beaches, we picked strawberries and every year we went to see the fireworks on Canada Day. The majority of the places we went were not expensive but they were every bit as memorable if not more memorable than the expensive ones.

I want the same for my kids and we are very lucky because we have so many people who look out for us and give us so many opportunities to do cool things.

Today was one of those days. We were invited to the McDougall family farm to see their ever changing crew in the barn. The kids loved it.

The latest addition to the gang? 32 baby turkeys that were born yesterday.

They got to feed mints to the horses, ride a donkey, pet the rabbits and collect eggs from the hens. Oh and most importantly they got to jump in puddles. Lots of them.

What a wonderful way to spend a miserable and rainy Saturday afternoon. Thanks guys!

Love it! Baby turkeys sure are a lot cuter than grown-up turkeys. :)
