For Ava's 2nd birthday, a bunch of us went together and bought Ava a wooden play set for the backyard. So far it is a huge hit. The best part of it is almost all of the neighbourhood kids have come over at some point in the past week to play with Ava. She is the youngest of all of them, but they don't treat her like that at all and they all get along really well.
When she goes outside, she sits up in the little clubhouse and in a very soft voice says "hi kids" to the other kids who are playing outside. There is no way they can hear her as she says it very quietly and she's too shy to walk up to them and ask them to come over and play. When they do come over, after a quick moment of shyness she is running all over the place following them with a huge smile on her face.
New Dora boots from Nana & Grandad...
Not great pictures because the sun was setting, but here are some pictures of Ava swinging with her Daddy...
Thanks for looking!
