day 183 {riverside park}

Today was a fun day. My parents are on vacation so the kids and I went with them to Riverside Park. I love Riverside Park and have many fond memories of it. It was nice to actually get out of the house. When it was just Ava I got out a lot more. Now with three kids it doesn't happen as much for reasons like the picture below: the kids would run a scatter pattern and I can't be in three places at once.

Riverside Park has a beautiful carousel that Ava just loves.

The also have a very cool train.

Here's Ethan on the carousel with Grandad and Owen with Nana on the right. I'm not sure if he's sad or just flaked out.

Then we walked to the playground area. Ethan went for the swing and Owen filled the crawling tube with mulch.

In addition to the crazy new hats, the boys each got their first pair of Crocs.

My crazy son (Owen) who decided after going down the slide once that it wasn't exciting enough so he went down backwards. This is my favourite picture of the day but I was mad to discover that my lens had a smudge on it (go figure) which ended up over Owen's left eye. Grrrrr.

Other randoms from the day:

Ethan hanging out by the carousel.

Ava eating ice cream with Grandad.

The boys' car seats have finally been flipped around to be forward facing. It's nice to be able to see each of the kids when I look in the rearview now.

And one of the best parts of the day for me? New jeans. My size 8's are now too big so I decided to try on 6's and see how they fit. They fit perfectly! Yay.

That was it. I am beat and am off to bed. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the pics of the park, I had no idea they had all that there. We had our engagement pictures taken there :) We haven't been back since! I think we'll have to visit it just to go on the carousel and train!!
