Ava spends a lot of time with her brothers so we like to get her out of the house doing some activities by herself. Saturday after dinner Ava and I decided we were going to go to the park and get some ice cream just the two of us. She was thrilled.
Here she is playing in the sand and discovering her own footprints from her shoes.
Anybody who has ever heard Ava talk about the park has heard about the dinosaurs. She LOVES them and talks about them non-stop.
From there we went to the variety store to get her an ice cream (Ava's choice was bubble gum) and sat in the park while she ate it. Let this be a lesson punks: it is possible to sit in the cenotaph and have a perfectly enjoyable time without defacing the monuments. Try it sometime.
My new favourite picture. I think at this point the sugar was starting to kick in.
We crossed the street and as I unlocked the van, I turned around to see Ava peeking in the window of Sussmans with her ice cream in hand. It wasn't a pastry and coffee but I still found it very Breakfast at Tiffany's. :)
