Week 1 {the untold story}

This week we operated under the "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" philosophy. The kids were hyper and out of control for most of the week. I don't know if it was the change in schedule with us going back to work or what it was, but it was not a good week at all. I ended the week screamed out, frustrated and at the end of my rope and two full weeks ahead of me with Jason on afternoon shift.

Anyway, I kept my posts pretty simple this week to help me stay on top of my 2010 Project 365. There were a few other stories and pictures I planned to post but decided to hold off until the weekend when I had more time. Here is the untold story of this first official week of my 2010 Project 365.

The week started with a fortune that would mock me the entire week:

When my kids eventually drive me into an early grave and they ask where their inheritance is, please tell them the above. ;)

Last Sunday the kids were playing very quietly in the dining room. I made the mistake of sitting down and enjoying it. I should have known something was up. It didn't take long before I discovered they had unzipped the couch again and stolen stuffing again only this time they were sticking it to the wall.

Ava reassured me that she wasn't using glue - her fingers were sticky from eating. That makes it so much better. It got even better when I told her to clean up and she stuffed the sticky stuffing back in the couch.

In other news, we had a brief visit from George Washington

and Ava dressed herself before we went to public skating. Her outfit included 4 t-shirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 skirt, 2 pair of underwear and 5 pair of socks. When we left for skating I convinced her to leave 4 pair of socks behind or her skates wouldn't fit. The rest of the clothes would end up being a big problem as her snowsuit barely fit and she looked like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

One thing's for sure this week. I really felt bad for that poor woman who got stopped by the police for going through an orange light. Word on the street is that she had a clean driving record and got off with just a warning.

Anyway, thank god Week 1 is over. Thanks for looking!

It was quite a week for you, but I must admit that I enjoyed reading about it!
