day 21 - a little hint of spring

It's been a busy week. I worked full time and the house is a complete disaster. Plans changed several times throughout the week between work and unexpected snow days and I am incredibly lucky to have an excellent day care provider who was more than willing to help every step of the way.

Three times I called Jen this week to change plans. Can you watch the kids an extra day? Oh and tomorrow too? And it's a snow day today. Would you mind watching Ava too?

Not once did she complain. Instead she packed up the kids yesterday, walked all the way to the florist and bought me a beautiful bouquet of gerbera daisies sensing that I needed a pick me up.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness Jen. I should have been buying you flowers and instead you bought them for me.

This was exactly what I needed. It was a beautiful hint of spring on a cold and blustery winter day.

I got a pick me up, just looking at them! The cold and snow are never ending, so that bit of cheer was great.

Woah! I would have thought they were fake flowers if you hadn't said they were from a florist. They look so perfect and you did a wonderful job capturing their beauty!
What a blessing it is to have some one so caring as that to look after your family. Those gerbera shots are so cool.
Yes, a nice pick me up for a cold morning! I LOVE the colors! So ready for spring!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. Yes - the flowers are real and they are beautiful. :)

To get the colourful backgrounds, I stick pieces of cardstock to the wall behind them. Then I held the flower up in front of it. Hope that helps!
