day 46 - arcade who?

Did anybody watch the Grammys on Sunday? I briefly skimmed through them on fast forward long enough to make three observations:

#1. John Mayer, you look like a hobo. While you will never make my "list", you could at least brush your hair. Shame on you and your Johnny Depp-inspired ripoff of a haircut.

#2: I still don't understand this whole Justin Bieber thing and I am proud to say I still do not know the lyrics to any of his songs. I'd like to think it's because I have a more refined musical palate, but it's more likely because I am old enough to be his very, very young mother.

#3: I don't know if it's just the nature of widescreen televisions, but there were a lot of extra pounds concealed under some of those dresses. Those must have been some industrial strength zippers.

Anyway, on a related note, welcome to 365 days of Jennifer's iPod. Come on warm weather. Enough is enough. You're killing my creativity.

Here's my iPod this morning on the way to work and my latest download. I've heard more than a few people say "WHO?" in response to Arcade Fire winning album of the year at Sunday night's Grammys. I can't claim to know much about them, but I am aware of who they are because of this song:

In the summer the following link was sent to me that features the song "We Used to Wait".

You don't need to know the band or appreciate the song but you have got to check it out. It is one of the coolest things I have seen.

I'm not going to ruin it for you and reveal anything. The only advice I have is make sure that you follow the instructions. If it says it won't work for your address, pick an address that you are familiar with that does work.

Trust me - it's worth it.

My first thought when I saw John Mayer was "why is he trying to look like Johnny Depp?" :)
Loved the grammys! (But not Justin Beiber, because I'm old.) ;)

I said the same thing to my husband about John Mayer. He usually tries to be so unique I'm surprised he would appear to copy JD.

My boys hate Justin Beiber. I'm too old to have an opinion.

So agree about Justin Beiber. But I like Arcade Fire. I didn't even watch so I didn't know they had won something.

I didn't have a chance to watch them. I don't get much of what goes on in the world of "entertainment".
