day 65 - the breakfast of champions

Sunday, 6 March 2011

Last night we attended a stag and doe for my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law and it ended up being a late night. It was my morning to get up early with the kids and I hoped like crazy that they would sleep in.

I heard some noise around 8:45 and went downstairs to find two Supermen and princess Belle eating breakfast. They had made their own breakfast of chocolate milk and leftover microwave popcorn from the night before. They stopped eating when they saw me and were worried I was going to take it away from them. Instead I walked over to the couch still half asleep and sat down.

Ava was thrilled that they were getting away with it and came running over to me to ask if she could eat a chocolate cupcake for breakfast. She was promptly told absolutely not.

Mommy may be tired but she is not hungover.

So cute! I almost missed the little princess in the background opening the cupboard, but once I spotted her, I think she makes the shot!

It will help to give them the energy they need to go out and save the world. And little Belle knows it's hard work finding Prince Charming. She needs her energy too!

That is adorable! Sounds like a perfectly acceptable breakfast to me - especially when mom is tired and doesn't feel like making them something 'better.'

:o) I love your blog! It's so pretty and fun to look around.
